I founded Stone Risk Consulting in 2014 after many years of working as a Resilience Leader. My motivation stemmed from a recurring issue I noticed: resilience programs often fall by the wayside after their initial implementation phases.

Our Story

Our story started in 2007, when our founder - Shane Mathew- began his first business continuity leadership role at a major University Medical Center in Texas.

One of two in the system, he began a journey within healthcare that served as the foundation for Stone Risk Consulting.

These experiences allow our team to offer the comprehensive capabilities and deep industry knowledge necessary to help you navigate the complexities of resilience program development.

We bring extensive experience in developing a variety of programs within healthcare and other highly regulated industries, from well-established programs, to those that are just beginning.

Our consultants are Certified Business Continuity Professionals with additional credentials and training in risk analysis. With roles held as Resilience Leaders and bring a unique blend of strategic thinking and over 17 years of experience to help sponsors tackle the complexity of resilience program design and development.

Stephen Mathew

Stephen Mathew brings a wealth of lean six sigma, supply chain resilience & project management capability to Stone Risk Consulting. He consults for our clients and oversees project schedules, communication, and timely delivery of all project components.

Starting his career in manufacturing automation, Stephen has honed his ability to make data-driven decisions and drive accelerated growth. His project management expertise has been pivotal in steering resilience efforts in the data and omni-channel communication client sectors.

Abie John

Abie John is an expert in cyber resilience and remediation services, with extensive experience as a CISO in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies for diverse organizations.

At Stone Risk Consulting, Abie focuses on enhancing clients' resilience to long-term IT outages, particularly those caused by cyber threats like ransomware.
